neatComponents does more than just publish content, it allows the content to be edited, and indeed the entire site structure to be designed, configured, and setup, all through a web-based interface. No coding, no site uploading.

To make all this possible, the system provides several editing tools, documented in this section, which allow you to manipulate the various components. (The components themselves have various settings and behaviors, which are documented elsewhere in the Components section)

Editing software

No separate editing software is needed on the client machines, everything is managed by the server, and presented through the client's web browser. This naturally means that an up-to-date browser is needed to make the best of the system. Editing and site construction can be done using any of the mainstream browsers - Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.
