Someone using the site who is an Associate will be able to see and do things on the site that other users will not. They will be able to see their account, use a facility to obtain personalised links, and you may give them access to a hints and tips page on marketing that you don't want your general site visitors to see.

To distinguish them, we use the User Group Manager to create a new group, called Associate.

We can then use the standard permissions system to control what extra they can do.
